Louisville

Three days in Louisville. Not saying I wasn't expecting much, but Madison with better accents would sum it up. Boy, was I wrong. While I did not see much of the city, it was more prosperous and cleaner than I expected. And it was big—more area than Chicago. It went on forever.

Southern hospitality was not a myth. The folks were open and friendly. They went out of their way. The whole place looked vibrant and fun. I would love to go back with my family for a longer visit.

One jolt came during a visit to a business associates property. It seems the land was a plantation in a bygone era. Next to his property, tucked in a back corner was a cemetery. It held both slaves and their masters. (I'm not a PC kind of guy, but there is no proper way to say that. Any word seems uncomfortable).
