Dear Microsoft: Regarding Windows 7

Ok, Microsoft, I'm a Mac. Have been for 25 years, will be for 25 more and beyond. But I have long since given up on PC vs. Mac debates or wars. It's boring. Kind of like jokes about high school cafeteria food. Too easy a punch line and not all that funny.

But in business, I have had to use PCs—a bit against my will. In my business, they are used for cheap workstations. A couple years ago I thought I was being progressive and I bought Vista for a couple of new workstations. Bad idea. It never worked. Some printer drivers never came up. I abandoned Vista and installed XP.

The workstations I purchased since then have all been XP. Salespeople thought I was goofy for insisting on "old" technology. Boo-hoo. Sell me what I want. XP works. Not as well as a Mac, but it works.

But now you want me to PAY for Windows 7. No thanks. You sold me something that doesn't work. When you give up on that scheme, let me know. I will trade you my Vista for a free copy of 7. I might even install it, on a lark.
